Know Your Caribbean was founded by Saint Lucian born visual artist, and filmmaker Fiona Compton. Frustrated by the lack of accessible in-depth information about the Caribbean region, she began in her own time to unearth stories buried away in the obscure corners of little known history books. Coming to realize herself, although growing up in the Caribbean, that there was much she did not know, and that these histories needed to be shared.
And so the Know Your Caribbean Initiative was formed in May 2017, now becoming the No.1 platform for Caribbean History and Culture.
